  • Dr, Mahaffey named to Inc Magazine’s Female Founders 200 List

ATLANTA, GA – April 4, 2023 – Inc. today announced its sixth annual Female Founders list, honoring a bold group of 200 women whose innovations and ideas are shaping the world into a better place.

The founders cross all industries and bring with them unique stories of success from each stage of the entrepreneurial journey — from startup to going public, being acquired by big buyers, or spending decades at the helm of an organization. They are reinventing everything from shoes to food and are challenging issues like financial literacy and reproductive health.

“It’s a privilege to stand among these exceptional and motivating women who are forging ahead with groundbreaking ventures in every industry, revolutionizing entrepreneurship. The growth and national recognition of my diverse businesses are a gift, and I appreciate the divine calling to pursue what I do without taking anything for granted,” Mahaffey said.

Mahaffey is an I/O Psychologist as well as a psychotherapist (LPC) and a tech entrepreneur. She has  a very unique background that spans technology, mental health and entrepreneurship. She started her career as a software developer in Atlanta and has worked in the tech-sector for 30+ years in development, engineering and project management. She has served in senior management roles and the C-Suite. Her work in psychology started as a business psychologist assisting technology stakeholders with change management to ensure that when new systems are launched, performance and productivity does not wane. She is also a technology startup founder and a consumer products entrepreneur, who was recently featured on QVC.

As a mental health practitioner, Dr. Mahaffey works with high achievers, celebrities, athletes, government officials, corporate executives, technology professionals and entrepreneurs to help them effectively address life’s challenges and maintain their mental wellness.  Last year she was also named to the Forbes Next1000 list.  She also founded the Atlanta Chapter of The Awesome Foundation, an organization that gives a monthly $1000 micro-grant to local causes.

“I firmly believe that entrepreneurship and innovation are guided by a higher power. As the founder of Culture Greetings, Be Mindfully Social and Roots to Branches, my consistent goal is to empower people to remain connected and to be the best version of themselves. Innovation and technology have been the key features of all the brands I have established, streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency. I’m thankful for the opportunity to bring my ideas to life and proud to be a problem-solver, Mahaffey concluded.

Each year, Inc. editors review thousands of applications highlighting female founders who are challenging the status quo and tackling some of the world’s biggest problems. The list features women who have overcome challenges and lifted those around them, while leading impactful organizations across the country. They join the ranks of previous honorees including Jessica Alba, Tracee Ellis Ross, Rihanna, and Shonda Rhimes.

“These 200 female founders have identified solutions to difficult problems and created valuable, industry-changing companies out of them. We congratulate this year’s list on their achievements and look forward to their continued success,” says Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk.
